December has almost arrived and festive celebrations are in full swing in Adelaide and residents of property in Norwood are in the prime position to attend one of South Australia’s most popular community events, the Norwood Christmas Pageant.
The much-loved Pageant is back this Saturday December 23 and is set to be the biggest and best celebration in its 36 year history.
A record number of floats, music and entertainment acts are registered to be a part of this huge celebration of the impending silly season.
In past years, more than 16,000 Adelaide residents of all ages have lined the streets to enjoy the Norwood Christmas Pageant and this year will be no different.
The Pageant will commence at 10 a.m. on Woods street, before travelling east along The Parade towards Queen Street.
Be sure to get in early to claim the best viewing spot among the massive crowd expected to attend.
During the pageant, you will be entertained by stilt walkers, magicians, fairies, clowns acrobats and of course the big man himself, Santa.
Once the floats have passed, you can stick around to have lunch on The Parade and get a head start on your Christmas shopping.
