Business owners and residents of property in Norwood may wish to chip in and offer their two cents about a replacement Food & Wine Event for this popular Adelaide suburb.
The local council is considering a replacement event for this former, bustling festival, according to an April 14 media release.
New event that encourages vendor participation
“Over the last few Food Wine & Music Festivals, the cost of the event increased whilst trader participation decreased and so the Council’s investigation into a new event needs to ensure that these issues are addressed and that in hosting a new event on The Parade, the needs of both the business sector and the community can be met,” explained Mayor Robert Bria.
The council wants to retain the best parts of the previous festival, while adopting some new elements to bring the community together. It will be held on The Parade in Norwood next year.
It’s events like these that draw couples, individuals and families to seek real estate in Adelaide.
The council will consult will businesses with a food bent in May to come up with a unique plan for 2015.
“The objective of the new event will be to promote the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters as the premier destination for food, wine and hospitality”, noted Mayor Bria.
