If you were looking for yet another reason to crack into real estate in Adelaide, the fantastic range of seasonal events on offer this long weekend could spur you into action. Easter festivities are kicking off with a hop and a skip in the South Australian capital, with all things egg-based and excellent sure to tempt visitors and residents alike.
Adelaide City Council has released an Easter Bucket List to encourage people to get out and about, and experience all the things the city has to offer this weekend. In a 1 April statement, Lord Mayor Martin Haese said activities will appeal to young and old, from extended shopping hours and cultural ventures, to Easter egg hunts and AFL.
"Bring the family in to meet the Easter Bilby at the Zoo, open all weekend, or get lost in the many Easter egg hunts happening around the city," Mr Haese said.
"We really want people to come into the city and enjoy the extended hours and Easter festivities."
Adelaide residents can enjoy longer hours pounding the pavement at the Central Markets and Rundle Mall, both of which will be open late on Thursday. Both will be closed on Good Friday, but will reopen again in time for Saturday, and Rundle Mall will have an extended opening between 11am and 5pm on Monday. The kids can have fun with the Easter Bunny over the weekend, who has already set a chocolate challenge in the form of the Easter Egg Hunt at the Markets over the past few days.
If sports are more your play, head down to watch the Crows play the Kangaroos at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday. There is also the Volkstanzfest to enjoy with the German Club of Adelaide, or indulge in an artistic escapade with a day at the Gallery of South Australia.
With so many Easter endeavours to embark on, make sure to include a chat with the team at Ray White about the benefits of property management in Adelaide.
