Owners of property in Adelaide who are looking to sell may find that now is the perfect time to enter the market, according to data from the Housing Industry Association (HIA).
Recent figures from the HIA show that South Australia led the nation in detached home sales during December 2013, as well as during the final quarter of 2013.
“New home sales hit a low ebb during 2012. However, a strong recovery took place in 2013 with sales recording their first annual increase in five years,” said HIA Economist Diwa Hopkins in a January 30 media release.
“The key now will be for these improved sales levels to expand further in the year ahead.”
It looks like an expansion in sales won’t be a problem for residents of real estate in Adelaide, as the month of December 2013 alone saw an increase of 22.5 per cent in detached house sales in South Australia.
Meanwhile, over the final quarter of 2013, detached house sales surged by 50.9 per cent in the region.
These are large numbers, and may indicate that now is the time for property owners who have been on the fence to follow through with their plans.
