One of the benefits of owning property in Adelaide is enjoying the incredible events the local council has to offer. One of the biggest occasions of the year is New Year's Eve and Adelaide City Council pulls out all the stops to throw a party worth remembering in 2015.
The free event held at Elder Park features music, food, beer gardens and fireworks. A fun evening that is geared towards the whole family, you'll find plenty to enjoy. The sweet sounds of prime Australian musical acts will keep you going throughout the night, while a fantastic display of fireworks from Australia's most awarded fireworks, pyrotechnics and special-effects company will surely bring in the New Year with a bang.
If you have little ones with you on New Year's Eve, don't fret – there's a nine o'clock fireworks display as well, so you can get the children to bed on time. For the big kids there is, of course, the 12 AM display that will draw the night to a close and usher in 2015.
The event starts at 6 PM and closes at 1 AM. With around five hours of live music interspersed with fireworks, you're bound to enjoy a jam-packed night of entertainment. And don't forget – it's free!
Be aware that this event, and others like it, may affect traffic flows and the availability of public transport. There is an abundance of food stalls available and for those after something to wet their whistle, beer gardens will be a welcome sight. The rest of the festival area is a dry area, meaning that is a safe and family-friendly venue for all.
With plenty of council events throughout the year, it's no wonder Adelaide residents choose to buy or rent in the South Australian capital.
