By Brett Pilgrim

If you’re looking for a home that will support a healthy lifestyle you may want to consider property in Adelaide.

Adelaide is home to a massive 47 parks, covering nearly 41 per cent of the total land area, according to MyRP Data.

Green spaces and open areas should be high on anyone’s property checklist, as research shows that having access to parks and a natural environment can benefit your health and wellbeing.

The ‘Healthy Parks Healthy People’ research group has released a report that reveals green space within a city improves individual’s physical and mental health and can also benefit the community as a whole.

Having access to numerous parks and open spaces is important for health and wellbeing as residents are encouraged to become more physically active. Green spaces also reduce stress and can have a positive impact on mental health issues.

A community with many green spaces will also benefit from improved air quality, increased wildlife and a more sustainable environment.

Owners of real estate in Adelaide are in a prime position to take advantage of the health benefits of green space with the nearby Veale Gardens, Botanic Park and other open areas surrounding our urban suburb.
