Owners of property in North Adelaide may be in a comfortable position to sell in the future, given a $1.3 million transport initiative that is now underway.
Construction has started on the Park’n’Ride facility adjacent to Munno Para’s Smithfield Station, according to an April 4 statement from Transport and Infrastructure Minster Stephen Mullighan.
The facility will make commuting far easier for residents in the area, potentially creating more demand for property in Adelaide that’s close to these fantastic transport links.
More parking spaces for commuters
The new facility will open up 190 parking spaces to keep up with local demand, noted Mr Mullighan.
“The Smithfield Park’n’Ride will provide a safe facility to meet the needs of the northern suburbs communities,” Mr Mullighan explained.
This Smithfield station facility is set completed in June this year and will include a selection of disabled parking spaces as well as CCTV cameras in order to be a safe area. High-quality lighting will also be installed to improve user experience.
“I am very pleased that once completed people in the area will have more places to park, making catching public transport an easier decision,” stated Member for Napier Jon Gee.
Adelaide now boasts more than 10,500 Park’n’Ride spaces, highlighting how easy it is for residents in the area to get around.
