As spring gets into full swing, homebuyers are starting to come out in full force right across the nation.
RP Data's weekly auction market report has noted that capital city listings have increased since winter, driven largely by growth in Sydney and Melbourne.
However, Adelaide has still performed strongly against the east coast property giants.
Last week it recorded 129 auctions, a very strong result compared to usual listings, which typically number between 50 and 100. Last week's amount is comparable to larger cities such as Brisbane, which recorded just more than 150 auctions over the same period.
Clearance rates in Adelaide are also thriving under the spring sun, which sit at 69.1 per cent compared to 64.3 per cent the previous week.
This showcases ongoing demand for property at auction and a great level of turnover for real estate in Adelaide.
With a wide array of homes in suburbs like Burnside, Prospect and Norwood, the team at Ray White Adelaide will be able to help anyone interested in the SA property market find their dream home, whether it is through auction or private treaty.
Population push
The Housing Industry Association have also recently released population statistics for Australia, which has shown an increase in the number of people now living in SA.
South Australia's total population was nearly 1.7 million at the end of March this year, which is an increase of 15,500 people over the same time in 2013.
While only a small increase of 0.9 per cent, it is still a positive indication that people want to move to the City of Churches and surrounding areas.
With even more people living here and more homes coming available on the market, now could be an excellent time to look at buying property in Adelaide.
