If you're interested in buying property in Prospect, there is a potential big development on the horizon you'll want to know about!
The City of Prospect Council last week unanimously voted to put plans to renovate the Broadview Oval into a regional sporting hub to the public discussion stage. It could make the suburb a hot destination for people interested in all sporting codes. While the Mayor David O'Loughlin warned people not to get their hopes up as there is a long way to go, it still shows the vision that council has for the Prospect area.
Relying on external funding, the plan would include two-storey clubrooms, a BMX track, extra tennis courts and 50 extra carparks, and councillors agreed the area had needed work for quite some time.
About 1,750 people use the club each week, for sports such as football, tennis, bowls and cricket, showcasing Prospect's burgeoning athletic front.
Sitting just out of the Adelaide CBD, Prospect is well-positioned to take on the role of a regional sporting hub, and propositions like this show the council thinks so too. Not only does this provide great facilities for local teams (perhaps your own team?), it means there would be a wealth of events to attend with your friends on the weekend.
What's more, it would be an excellent place to take the kids during the warm months, or even to get little ones started on their own journey to becoming a sporting superstar! This is just another reason why Prospect is a very desirable location for anyone interested in buying property in Adelaide.
