Adelaide came in second amongst Australia’s other capital cities with a liveability score of 63.9 per cent according to the latest ‘My City: The People’s Verdict’ survey conducted by the Property Council of Australia.
Residents of Adelaide counted housing availability and affordability as one of the reasons they rated their city highly in the survey.
The key attributes that owners of real estate in Adelaide felt were crucial to enjoying their city were being able to afford a high standard of living and having areas that are safe for people and their property.
Adelaide performed highly in both those areas particularly due to the extensive range of quality and affordable housing.
For those looking to buy property in Adelaide the survey had further promising findings. In order to accommodate population growth, residents of Adelaide were likely to support a number of different housing developments.
These developments could include new large scale neighbourhoods on the outskirts of the city, an increase in medium density housing in middle and outer suburbs and conversions of industrial sites into apartments and townhouses.
Additionally, the amenities of Adelaide were also praised in the survey, as residents recognised the attractive natural environment and the number of recreational outdoor areas on offer.
As one of Australian’s most loved capital cities, Adelaide continues to charm both home buyers and investors.
