Residents of real estate in Adelaide from Prospect to Burnside should get ready for the region they call home to be ranked as one of the world’s “smart cities”.
Adelaide will be part of a National Geographic TV documentary series focusing on the world’s most innovate and creative cities, according to a February 3 media release from the Adelaide City Council.
“Adelaide City Council is delighted to participate with the State Government of South Australia, University of South Australia and Flinders University to showcase the city’s credentials as a creative, connected and intelligent city,” the city council stated.
“Adelaide has not only been selected as one of the 18 smart cities of the world, but also to officially launch the series at the Adelaide Oval. Taking part in the National Geographic series has presented a great opportunity for Adelaide to showcase to a huge international and national audience what makes the city special.”
This honour comes on the heels of Adelaide being voted the fifth most liveable city in the world during 2013, as well as being rated as Australia’s safest city by Suncorp.
All of this and more is just one more reason why so many Australians value calling property in Adelaide home.
