Adelaide has made a name for itself as one of the country’s greatest locations for foodies – and a new app has been launched to celebrate this fact.
The Adelaide Street Eats App has been created to celebrate the city’s street food culture, giving people the opportunity to locate their favourite foods with ease.
Whether foodies are living in property in Adelaide or simply visiting from elsewhere, the app is likely to prove a handy tool, while also giving local businesses a much needed boost.
City councillor Houssam Abiad explained that street food has become a crucial part of Adelaide’s culture and has gone from strength to strength over recent years.
He continued: “Mobile food vendors provide different and exciting food experiences on city streets, and brighten up underused spaces, squares, park lands and laneways.
“They also bring colour and buzz to the city and have proved to be very popular.”
Included in the app will be a full list of mobile food vendors, complete with social media links and images of what people can expect.
Furthermore, it will also provide a map of the area, as well as a calendar of each of the vendors’ upcoming trading spots, so people know where to find their favourites.
